Wayne County's Compass is a web-based, cutting-edge technology designed to help the motoring public better manage their commutes.
During a winter event, drivers can access Compass and learn what major highways and surface roads were cleared by the Roads Division's fleet of snow plows/salt trucks.
Compass also provides:
GPS data, route histories of the vehicle fleet, radar from the National Weather Forecast Office, the location of the user, and real time views from MDOT traffic cameras and other data. Designed by Wayne County Department of Technology
